Hopefordogs Canine Training, as the name implies, gives dogs that seem to have irreversible behavioural issues a second chance at training and rehabilitation. By providing dog owners with theoretical and practical skills of dog ownership, this will help owners understand their dogs better and hence, they can live together in harmony.
Because every dog is different in temperament and behaviour, there is no “one size fits all” method when it comes to dog training. At Hopefordogs, we use the Eclectic Method when working with dogs. A balanced training approach that adopts positive motivation and reinforcement, appropriate rewards and corrections, will be adapted to best suit the dog.
Started with PUPSingapore, a campaign to raise awareness about the horrific breeding and welfare conditions of puppy farms in Singapore, my passion to help dogs has not stopped ever since.
Hi, I’m Jacky, trained and certified in Melbourne under Basil Theofanides (Training Director – Dog Trainers Australia). With more than a hundred hours of intensive practical training with shelter dogs of different behaviours, I believe all dogs deserve a second chance with rehabilitation and training.
Being an active volunteer at dog shelters for a few years has motivated me to become a professional dog trainer with the aim to help other volunteers alike, dog owners and their dogs.
Because each animal is different, I’ll work with yours to give them the specific guidance they need. Whether you’re thinking about getting a dog, have a new dog, or already own one that needs guidance, I am ready to help!
