Sleek, quick. Good watchdog. Some individuals may be shy. Usually quiet, although some poorly breed individuals can be non-stop barkers. Cannot handle cold.

The Manchester Terrier stands up to 40.5cm; and weighs between 5.5kg and 10kg. Colour is black with mahogany or tan points.
Short, smooth, glossy. Low maintenance; this breed is so clean it has been called “catlike.” Low to average seasonal shedding.

Moderate.
Suited for apartment life and urban areas.
Bonds to whole family. Good with gentle children; may be overprotective; some can be snappish. Can be shy or reserved with strangers. Good with other dogs, especially other Manchester Terriers; most chase cats and smaller pets.
Average to high; responds better than many terriers.
